Come back home alive, Daddy!

documentary heritage
  • Description

Small propaganda flyer, or 'leaflet', produced during the Second World War by the Germans, and distributed to the Allied forces, in an attempt to demoralise them.

Recto: Black and white image of a young child. Text "Come back home alive, Daddy!".

Verso: Text only "A child is weeping ...". Message about the likelihood of never returning to see loved ones, implying desertion or surrender is a safer option.
