    Exhibited in the 1947 Annual Exhibition of the Auckland Society of Arts. Asking price 35 guineas.

  • Subject Notes
    Born County Down, Ireland, 1895. Arrived in New Zealand 1897. Studied at Wellington Technical College under Linley Richardson. Has exhibited in London and one of his paintings hangs in London in New Zealand House. Represented in the Auckland Art Gallery, also in Switzerland. Awarded the Bledisloe Medal for Landscape, 1944. Has done much mural painting in various parts of New Zealand. Now Lecturer in Design at the Elam School of Art and Instructor for Drawing at the Auckland University College School of Architecture. Is at present the President of the Auckland Society of Arts. From Auckland Society of Arts 90th Anniversary Retrospective Exhibition 1869-1959.
