This paletu'a is used for no'o'anga (shark hunting). No'o'anga is only performed by people form specific villages in Tonga; Eueiki and Navutoka. There is a whole process involved with no'o'anga, the paletu'a is used to hit and stun the shark so that it may be captured. This paletu'a is cylindrical in cross-section, from the handle it flares outwards towards the top which is rounded off. The shape would be similar to a baseball bat.
