    Moai. Stone statue. This is a replica of a moai carved from stone. The stone is grey in colour with a rough surface. The moai is carved to include a flat base, neck and head with prominent features. This replica may have been carved by an amateur carver. Moai are thought to be representations of ancient Polynesian ancestors.
