    wooden box (chipwork style) of rectangular form, the lid attached by two brass hinges and with a plain flat brass escutcheon and brass locking device (key missing). The lid elaborately carved in angular patterns similar to those of cut glass and Norwegian folk carving of the late 19th century.

    The following objects were found in the box when gifted and have not been accessioned individually - 10 large cat's eyes, 10 medium cat's eyes, 11 small cat's eyes, 2 pink [shell] trinkets, 1 clasp, 2 [shell] cream beads, 1 [brass] bezel
