    christening gown

    Baby's muslin dress with front and back bodice all-in-one yoke. Back bodice opening fastening with two concealed buttons. Yoke is lightly but finely embroidered in flower-leaf-spot-eyelet design, and neck edge is very finely scalloped. The garment has long sleeves with plain deep band at the bottom 45mm deep, with an overcuff embroidered and scalloped in the same way as the yoke. The skirt is embroidered up to half its length from the bottom with an extension and elaboration of the yoke design. The skirt is finished with a series of large 130mm wide scallops and these are themselves scalloped in 10mm scallops.
