    Fangufangu. Nose flute. Fangufangu are one of the traditional instruments of Tonga. Historically, fangufangu were played outside the sleeping quarters of royalty to awaken them. This fangufangu is made from one section of kofe (bamboo), it is cylindrical in shape and completely sealed. The playing holes are drilled or burnt along the length of the fangufangu and one extra hole drilled behind, directly opposite the middle hole.

    The entire surface of this fangufangu has markings and lettering carved or burnt on it.
