  • Description

    Reva. Wall hanging. Rectangular piece of cloth tui rima (hand sewn) in a variation of tivaevae tataura (Cook Islands embroidery) style. Floral arrangement design hand-embroidered in a stem stitch technique with red cotton thread on cream white cotton background. "KIA ORA" in embroidered capital letters above floral arrangement. "Charlie [Roi] & S. G. Hobbs" handwritten in pencil on the white cotton at lower mid section. Faded with stains along edges.

    The red stitchwork visible on the reverse side of the cotton. 3 metal hoops along top edge of reverse side for hanging.
