    Pola. House blind. Made by Sulata Vavega. This pola is made with dried launiu (coconut leaf), it is woven and then plaited to finish. Pola are used as blinds for a house, they can be attached to the outside of a house to create shutters to keep out the sun and wind, or as extra privacy. They can also be used as house dividers or even as mats to sit on.
