    OLD RECORD - DO NOT USE (SEE REG NOTES) aho, miro. cordage, fishing line. Fagments of cord associated with stone sinker 18068.1. The cord was damaged but still attached to the sinker when found (as illustrated in the Fairfield article in the Journal of the Polynesian Society vol 42, 1933). It was described as multiple cords being wrapped around the sinker over the pecked groove in the stone, then the ends gathered together and secured in a tuft.
