    Ike. Beater for tapa (barkcloth). Carved from solid piece of rakau (wood). Four-sided, long and rectangular in shape. The length of the beating surfaces on two sides are carved in fine grooves. One side with two deep grooves, widely spaced. One side with moderately deep grooves. One end of the ike is carved to grip in the hand comfortably. Dark brown colour.
