    Game disc (English)

  • Description

    Tupe. Disc for a pitching game. Large circular disc carved from rakau (wood). Thick on the base and rises to a central point on one side. Flat side of the tupe is plain with no surface treatment other than some sanding to make smooth. Raised side has carved surface treatment with repeated geometric motifs carved around the circumference and at the centre. Brown in colour.
