    Kato pesi. Small bag. This is a kato pesi made entirely from lau fā. It is rectangular in shape and flat in form. Two kavei (handles) have been attached from the inside of the serrated edge opening. Both kavei curl inwards towards the opening of the kato pesi. The kato pesi portrays different forms of lalaga (weaving) to define textural mata pelē (patterns). This can be seen horizontally across the kato pesi.

    A clean braid can be seen at the base of the kato pesi suggesting how the weaver may have concluded the construction of the kato pesi. The lau fā is defined through different shades of natural pale yellows which also contribute to the kato pesi's overall mata pelē.
