    Box of weights. The box is wooden with a hinged lid and a metal catch on the front. The interior of the box has compartments which hold precision weights and brass tweezers. There are individual compartments for the eight brass weights between 1 gram to 50 grams. There are two additional compartments underneath an ivory lid which hold metal weights measuring in milligrams, centigrams, and decigrams. Marked on the front of the box is: MAW LONDON.

    Stamped in a circle on the base of the box is: F. B. DUVALL / AUCKLAND. Within the stamp is handwritten in ink: Box / 96.
