This three-piece outfit combines Orlando Vest, Lace Base Skirt and Serpent Wrap and represents themes Zambesi pioneered, explored and developed throughout the 1990s. The Orlando Vest, of pinstripe stretch suiting fabric, is embellished with a piece of vintage beaded fringing. Each vest was unique, fastened with a selection of individual antique jet buttons. This waistcoat illustrates Elisabeth Findlay’s ongoing interest in fashioning tailored masculine pieces for women.

Layered over an elongated skirt of heavy stretch lace is a woven ribbon wrap; the combination characterises an underlying principle: the mixing of disparate textures and materials.
