The chain has a lobster closure at the back made from metal. The cord is a black box plait. At the front is a circle with a toggle charm and a compass charm on a short chain. The compass charm has an incised design of leaves on both sides. On the reverse is a hallmark that reads “wd / [crown] / [anchor] / [lion]”.
