    scrimshaw bullock horns bound together in centre and wrapped with a single band of red ribbon; dark exterior of horn has been removed, revealing light interior, tips of horns remain dark brown/black; carved illustrations depict Maori in cloak and a Maori man's head and insignia, with other coat of arms and animal designs; two metal suspension rings support a knotted string handle; possibly engraved by Peter Brady of the 58th Regiment and later of Howick.
