    Whale teeth neck ornament (English)

  • Description

    i Taube Bati ni Tovuto. Whale tooth necklace. Consisting of twenty-nine teeth, honey yellow/brown in colour, curved in shape with pointed tip ends, and bored at the base of each tooth. The teeth are arranged from smallest to largest (from the ends of the cord), and are strung onto a braided cord, tali rua (two-ply), woven from vau (hibiscus fibre), with knotted ends.
