  • Description

    Figurine with monkey head and feather surround. Possibly a plaque rather than a figurine. Head with a protruding forehead. Feather remnant at the back of head but sides broken out to the shoulders. Earspools with central indent partially intact. Heavy brow ridges. Eyes indistinct. Monkey nose and open mouth abraded. Feathers or fur depicted on lower cheeks. Wearing a medallion neck ornament and loincloth with elaborate belt.

    Arms at sides of torso, with wristbands and back of hands facing outward. Remnants of feather surround beside. Short inturned legs, feet and base area broken off. Back flattish with slight central concavity. White pigment on back and front, traces of yellow and red on face.
