    Placemat. Circular in shape. Centre of mat woven from rauara (pandanus). Commencement from the centre of mat. Dyed-red strips of apuraka (giant swamp taro) decorate the rim of the mat. Dyed-red strips of kiriau (hibiscus fibre) are interwoven into the edge of the mat forming aka verevere (fringe).
