    Pare. Hat. Made from rito (young coconut leaf). Commencement is from the top of the crown and woven out in check altering to a lace pattern at the sides through to the edges of the brim. Rito strips and tassles are interwoven into the edges of the brim. Decorating the top of the crown is a rito woven cylindrical shape with strips of rito surrounding its sides and top. Two pipi (shellfish) shells are threaded atop the decoration using strips of rito. Natural in colour.
