Coconut shell discs. This is a prepared length of te nana (coconut shell discs) that have been threaded onto te kora (coconut sennit fibre cordage). The kora is two-ply and a mid-brown in colour. Its length is longer than the series of te nana threaded onto it. It has been fastened in two places, featuring two small knots along the extension. A weakend segment of the kora has become detached over time leaving it undone. Te nana are small, hard and circular. They have a small circular perforation in the centre where te kora has been threaded through.
