    Wheel gauge, brass, 3-23mm by 1/4 mm

    rectangular brass tool with curved sides. 58 circular indentations on one side and 23 on the other. Each indentation has a measurement and a circular hole in its centre.

    Although the diameter of wheels for watches was usually measured in millimetres, the mm was sometimes divided into fractions, such as eighths and quarters. This gauge measures in quarters of a mm.
