documentary heritage
  • Kupu whakaahua

"New Zealand's Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP) programme commenced in 2007, as a fully funded national programme aimed at supporting newly graduated midwives during their first year of practice. The MFYP programme is designed to support each graduate as they develop their midwifery knowledge and skills through clinical practice, identifying and planning learning goals, attending ongoing education and critically reflecting on practice.

It provides a framework of support for new graduate midwives during their first year of practice, which includes clinical practice support, one-to-one mentoring, funding for continued education and professional standards through a Midwifery Standards Review undertaken on completion of the programme."--executive summary.
