    Reverend Thomas Biddulph Hutton was a painter, teacher and clergyman, who came to New Zealand in 1843 to teach at St John's Anglican College, Auckland. In 1849, Hutton married Sarah Williams sister of Henry and William Williams. The sketches he made during his voyage to New Zealand were used to illustrate the journals of Reverend W.C. Cotton
