    Jan Grefstad (1940-2002) was a well-known Auckland theatre proprietor, exhibitor, projectionist and historian. He was best known for his long (38 years) involvement with the Hollywood Theatre (formerly Grosvenor) in Avondale and the Classic Cinema in Queen Street. He was one of the founding members of the Film Buffs' Association and also a member of the NZ Exhibitor's Association, where he served on the Executive, and Avondale Businessmen's Association.
