Field Collection Notes
The dominant canopy tree on the island. Confined to the basaltic tuff and scoriaceous material capping the islands summit. All specimens seen badly damaged by Cyclone Bune and mostly with defoliated and otherwise trashed branches but all specimens seen covered in dense epicormic regrowth.
