    Abundant. Confined to shallow (up to 150 mm deep) brackish pools present at the extreme upper high tide mark and beyond on basalt lava. Thallus when fresh bright green, somewhat mucilaginous and, well snot-like!! Associated with another, somewhat similar, dark green-brown, fibrous alga (see AK 327422).
