South eastern edge of lake. Beach composed of mud, sand, silts and clays mixed together and pugged by cattle. Heavily impacted and weedy lake shore (turf?) habitat. Interesting native species here include the rare Centipeda minima and Centipeda aotearoana, Myriophyllum propinquum, Lobelia anceps, Eleocharis gracilis, Isolepis reticularis, Isolepis prolifera and Juncus prismatocarpus. Many weed species at this locality. Dominant weeds include Cynodon dactylis, Ludwigia palustris, alligator weed, mercer grass, kikuyu and Juncus articulatus. This Isolepis is abundant on exposed muds and less so under nearby manuka. Both the exposed, yellow plants and the tall, lax shade plants included in this collection. Collected during surveys for Auckland Council
