Indigenous flora and fauna of New Zealand
Description: "This paper addresses four questions contained in the direction commissioning research, which can be found in appendix 1. Three questions have been asked dealing with the formation of reserves for protecting plants and animals, the species themselves, and their management. I deal with these in chapter 1. In chapter 2, I report on New Zealand's international treaty position. In chapter 3, to permit an answer to the fourth question, I deal with domestic intellectual property. In chapter 4, I discuss international aspects of intellectual property, and rights of indigenous peoples. In chapter 5, I comment on aspects of intellectual property as applied in Wai 262. Then I make some conclusions."--introduction
