blanket
Description: blanket, hand-woven cream wool with linear border on all four sides in dark brown, twill weave, web is open of the left hand side of the loom where two selvedges appear. Centre of web is on the right hand side at the fold. One of the webs (or cloths) is woven on neddles 1 and 2, and the other web, simultaneously, on 3 and 4. The warp is double-sly through the beater (red), but the web is single-sly, so warp and weft weaving must be of threads that make a balanced 50/50 web on a single- sly.
