Kupu whakaahua: figure, ceramic. Stylised short arms protrude out from body at shoulder level, they and have holes drilled through them. Legs are less prominent, bent at the knees, possibly representative of a sitting position. Head elongated with black-brown paint representing headwear, which extends down the back to join similar coloured painted area. The black paint extends around the back to the front. There is black paint around eyes. A groove at base of rear represents buttocks, front suggests female form with genatalia and breasts, unpainted. Peru
