Sitting proudly amongst the grounds of the Pukekawa Auckland Domain, Auckland Museum provides a spectacular setting and a range of unique, memorable venue options to make your next corporate function shine.


Choose from seven incredible spaces

Hold your event within the splendour of the marbled Grand Foyer with its dramatic columns, or wow your guests in Under the Dome with its stunning copper roof and breath-taking near 360-degree views across the city. Cocktail spaces are available in the Champagne Mezzanine and Origins Gallery and a purpose-built Auditorium venue is available for presentations and lectures.

The spectacular Te Ao Mārama South Atrium is one of Auckland Museum’s two newest venues, seating up to 200 banquet guests, and 300 standing guests for cocktails or theatre-style events. The South Atrium is available six evenings each week. Most recently we launched Whaowhia, an intimate, classic wood-panelled boardroom in the heritage style of the original Museum building, seating up to 16 people.

The spectacular Te Ao Mārama South Atrium is one of Auckland Museum’s newest venues.

  • Seats up to 200 banquet guests.
  • 300 guests for cocktails standing or theatre-style events.
  • Available 6 evenings each week.

The stunning neoclassical architecture provides an excellent backdrop for any evening event.

  • Seat up to 150 guests for a gala dinner.
  • Host 300 guests at a cocktail-style function.
  • Available for evening events 6 days a week.

An intimate, wood-panelled art deco boardroom in the original Museum building.

  • Seats up to 16 people for business meetings or private events.
  • Full audiovisual and separate kitchenette facilities available.

Positioned in the heart of the Museum, with an unbeatable view over the Grand Foyer.

  • Accommodates 200 guests for a standing cocktail function.

Have your guests stumble into 'Jurassic Park’ when you invite them for cocktails amongst the dinosaurs.

  • Accommodates 200 guests for a standing cocktail function or private event.
  • Can also be hired as a pre-function space alongside the Grand Foyer or Event Centre. 
  • Available during the evening, 6 days a week.

Take the stress out of organising your event and leave it to our expert accredited caterers. They are familiar with all the venues and can be relied on to make your event run seamlessly. Our caterers may be able to offer extra assistance in arranging the detail of your event – whether that’s choosing the perfect table settings or designing a special themed menu.

Car parking: Auckland Museum’s car park is available for your guests at an hourly rate, or you can pre-purchase parking tickets for attendees. Please note that whilst on-site paid parking is available, there are also a number of free timed spots in The Domain.
