Blood Drive at Auckland Museum

UNDER THE DOME, LEVEL 3

BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL

Auckland Museum has partnered with New Zealand Blood Service for a blood drive to help boost donation numbers this holiday season - and celebrate the opening of Bloodsuckers: Legends to Leeches, our new international special exhibition that uncovers the incredible role of blood in nature, mythology, and medicine.

Every 18 minutes, someone in Aotearoa needs blood, and with no substitutes available, every donation counts. To ensure New Zealand continues to meet demand for blood and plasma during the busy holiday period, New Zealand Blood Service needs over 6,000 donations in Auckland alone to keep up with demand.

On Saturday 14 December, the Museum's iconic Under the Dome rooftop space will transform into a one-of-a-kind blood donation site, offering panoramic views of Tāmaki Makaurau.

Spaces are limited, so book your donation today to secure your spot. All donors will have the opportunity to explore Bloodsuckers: Legends to Leeches during their visit.

Join us and help make a difference by saving up to three lives.

Booking is essential via the New Zealand Blood Service.
