WED 28 OCT 7PM - 11PM
GRAND FOYER & GALLERIES

TICKETS $45
EVENT IS R18

The date to find a date has shifted! Given its mingly nature, we need to be comfortably in Alert Level 1 before we can safely hold this event. Therefore, we’ve moved it to Wednesday 28th October.
All going well we’ll be able to proceed just as planned on this date, to throw you an amazing singles night. Of course, should there be any further Covid-19 interruptions to that plan, we’ll be sure to update our website and event listings, and let ticket holders know.

If you already have a ticket, sit tight and our bookings team will send out a new ticket much closer to the time. If you said you’d collect your ticket at the venue, all you need to do is turn up on the new date. If you can’t make it on Wed 28 Oct, email our bookings team and we’ll sort out a refund for you.

They say all good things come to those who wait. Will you find your good thing at the Museum?

Could there be a better place to meet someone special? Start the night with drinks and live music in the Grand Foyer. We’ve added an extra bar, and our ‘icebreaker hosts’ will be on-hand to get the conversation flowing. That’s when the fun starts.

If things are looking promising, take a stroll through our beautifully-lit galleries. There will be plenty to chat about with fun mini-challenges and conversation-starters along the way.

Speed dating is so last year - why not try our ‘Carbon Dating’ instead? Amongst the dinosaur bones, our host will put guests into pairs for timed challenges - complete puzzles and games while getting to know each other.

Our popular Blind Date game show will also be making a return and you can register to participate when you purchase your ticket. We’ll be in touch with more info closer to the date but if you get cold feet, don’t worry as you can always opt out.

So whatever your preference, ditch the dating app and join us for fun, flirting and who knows what else.

Better make your move - last time tickets sold out fast!

+What is this?

Mingle at the Museum – Spring Fling is a light-hearted convivial singles event for those who like something a little different. It’s a free-range event where you can choose what you do and where you go.

We've got:

+Are the activities compulsory?

Not at all – you can opt in and out as you feel comfortable.

+How will I know who is single and what they are looking for?

We’ll have badges for you to wear that will include your name and which gender you are interested in. The sticker system is meant as a fun option – you don’t need to out yourself to all the other guests if you don’t want to.

+Is this a speed-dating event?

No, it isn’t. This is a social night out for single people – bring a few pals, have a laugh and meet some new folks. There will be no formal matchmaking during the evening, but we’ll have ‘icebreaker’ hosts to facilitate if you need an introduction to someone. If you’d like more of a managed introduction, make your way up to our Carbon Dating in Origins on Level 1. Our host will put people into pairs, as they get to know each other while doing (simple) timed challenges.

+Is this a seated event?

Not as such, but there will be opportunities for sitting in the Grand Foyer and throughout the galleries. Meandering and exploring is encouraged.

+Is there an age range?

Who are we, the age police? We don’t want to restrict the possibilities, so if you’re over 18 you are most welcome.

+What's the timing?

7:00PM - Doors open and so do the bars!
7:30PM - Live music in the Grand Foyer
8:30PM - Blind Date game show – come and support our pre-selected contestants as they try to find their perfect match
