Sea Monsters tells the story of how giant land vertebrates adapted to be giant prehistoric ocean predators. With million-year-old fossils, 13m long replicas and over a dozen interactive experiences, this is one exhibition not to miss. Developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum with one of the world’s leading sea monster experts, this world class exhibition will be yours to see free, as many times as you’d like.

During the rise of dinosaurs and their dominance on land, for 180 million years other reptilian monsters ruled the oceans. Join Dr Espen Knutsen on a journey back in time as he talks all about ancient marine reptiles and his work on these prehistoric creatures in the Arctic and Australia.
Espen is the Senior Curator Palaeontology and a vertebrate palaeontologist at Queensland Museum.
