Visitation information

If you’re joining us for Anzac Day this year, you may notice things looking a little different due to some essential building works. As a result, Te Marae Ātea Māori Court is closed, and our rooftop is unfortunately inaccessible. This means that we won’t be able to follow the usual Anzac Day commemorative flag protocols. For more information about the flag protocols and the impact this year, click here.

Transport and parking

The Museum's underground car park will open at 8AM on Anzac Day, and will be free all day. See road closure information at Our Auckland. Alternatively check out AT.govt.nz/events for all your public transport options.

From Friday 11 to Tuesday 29 April, a field of white crosses will be planted before the Museum to honour our fallen New Zealand soldiers from all wars & conflicts from 1845-2012.
