This Field of Remembrance, installed on the northern slopes of the Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira and in front of the Cenotaph commemorates New Zealand’s fallen in wars and conflicts, both at home and overseas, during the last 175 years.
The cross for ‘A New Zealand Soldier – Known unto God’ represents the thousands who have no known grave.
