From histories that have been shared within your own home and family, to local war memorials, cemeteries, or the Museum's Online Cenotaph, the space that surrounds us holds stories to share. Inspired by the distant past or present times, enter your poem into our annual competition.
The competition is open to all ages. There are three age categories: 18 years+, 12-17 years, and 11 years and under.
Entries must be received by end of day, Sunday 14 April 2024. Entries will be judged by a panel of Museum writers, curators and educators. The judges' decision is final. Finalists, chosen from each age category will be invited to read their entries inside the Museum on Anzac Day at 11AM. Each finalist will receive a $150 gift card.
The Museum would like to acknowledge our sponsor, Eddie Mann, and his late wife, Michele Mann, for their generous support of this programme.
