The 3NZ Division were garrisoned throughout the Pacific during World War II including in Fiji, Norfolk Island, New Caledonia and Tonga.

The creation of T Force was to support the training of the Tongan Defence Force. “As with Fiji, New Zealand undertook to train and direct the Tongan Defence Force and to provide essential supplies and war equipment, the cost of which was originally met by the Tongan Government's provision of £20,000 a year from its slender resources, though financial changes later became necessary.” (Gillespie, 1952, p. 292)

These records were updated from the Nominals roll held at Archives New Zealand.
