  • A personal account of Mr. Andrew's life as a POW in Italy, (following his capture 30 November 1941 near Sidi Rezigh Libya, during Operation Crusader ) is available on website: Allies in Italy, [https://www.alleatiinitalia.it/en/stories-eng/raymond-d-andrew-2/]

    Following the Italian Armistice in Sept. 1943, Raymond and several others escaped from PG 107 Torviscosa, in Udine province. He was re-captured in January 1944 and taken to Germany, to Stalag IV Brüx (Most), in Czechoslovakia. He was finally able to regain his freedom on 8 May 1945.
