  • My father was called Walter Moffat and served in WW2. Based in the UK he served in the paras and was captured in Arnhem during operation Market Garden. Was POW in Czechoslovakia until freed by the Russians at the end of the war. Returned to the UK where he married my Mum, Agnes Moffat nee Wright on 7th June 1947. Dad passed away in August 2000 and Mum followed in January 2007. I am the youngest of 5 children and migrated to NZ in August 2011 with my husband and three children. I saw this opportunity to lay a virtual puppy for a gentleman of the same name in the same war. God bless and thank you for your service one and all.
