  • In memory of a wonderful father this ANZAC day 2021 who served his country with valour in WWII. In the years after the war Percy continued to give generously of his time in a volunteer capacity to organise commenmoration events for his war commrades. As a survivor of war Percy was a man of peace and taught all his children and grandchildren the importnace and value of courage in peaceful resolution. I remember my father with gratitude and pride and understand the sacrifice him and others like him made, by giving up so much of their youth for the liberation from persecution of people in other nations unknown to them and the future security of their fellow citizens in New Zealand.
    'Lest we forget.'
