  • So proud of my Dad. He wouldn’t talk about the war to us his three daughters. But we knew he was a gunner and served in North Africa and Italy and was a POW for a short time in Bardia, Libya. He was injured by friendly fire, shot through the knee. This affected his love of sports; rugby, cricket and middle distance running.
