  • London born, Oscar Kendall lived in Onehunga before enlisting for war service. He was a private in the 29 Battalion Infrantry Unit and served in the Pacific between December 1942 and June 1944. He made a series of watercolours of the Solomon Islands campaign. Kendall is also known for his paintings of Auckland yachts. AWMM
