Norman Kearns

Norman at enlistment, Photo held by his mother Caroline Emma Kearns. Found in a cake tin along with bundles of correspondence from her three sons that served. Brothers Jocelyn Kearns and Frank (Francis London Scimgeour). Tin was found many years after Jocelyn, known as Lyn, died. Lyn had hidden the tin in the loft of his pigeon house following the death of their mother who lived on the premises. It came to light when the loft was dismantled and the original photo is in the care of Ethel Kearns, Lyn’s wife and my aunt.
