James Richard Hocking

-
Probably three Hocking brothers prior to embarkation; William Bennett Hocking (1886-1922), Richard James Hocking (1880-1952), and James Henry Hocking (1879-1917). James was killed in combat, William died later in 1922 possibly succumbing to complications from war wounds. His father’s obituary in 1940 attributed WWI to William’s ‘loss. ‘
