MACDONALD, Alexander, 33918 19th Battalion, 2nd N.Z.E.F., ex-Prisoner of War, of 2 Wakefield Street, Palmerston North. –On March 30, 1968, at Whirokino (result of accidental drowning), son of the late Mr and Mrs A. Macdonald of Port Chalmers, and loved brother of Donald and the late Stella and Malcolm; aged 54 years. Service at St Andrew’s Church, Palmerston North, tomorrow (Friday), April 5, 1968, at 10.30 am, thence to the Crematorium, Kelvin Grove.
    From his death certificate [1968/49160: MacDonald, Alexander; 54Y] we know his parents were Alexander MACDONALD & Agnes OMOND; he was born at Port Chalmers; was not married at time of death; and had no children.
