    Published in New Zealand Herald,
"McKENZIE, David Rex. (4214674 RNZAF 3 Squadron Pacific) Passed away peacefully, with his loving wife of over 40 years, Jan, holding his hand, on Saturday 27th November 2021, aged 98. Loved father of David, Robert, and Hamish (deceased) and their families and treasured Rex and "Poppi" to Allanah and Chantelle and their loving families. He was one of life's gentlemen, quiet and serene. Darling Rex, you have left a huge hole in our hearts; cherished memories we hold forever. You have started the tractor for the last time….. In accordance with Rex's wishes, he will have a private cremation. Special thanks for the love and care Mercy Hospice gave to Rex in the short time he was with them." AWMM
