  • Joseph (Joey) Patrick Colquhoun was my father. Not only was he a proud and true soldier, he was a great guy, friend, and dad.
Dad passed away on Christmas Eve 1978 after driving from Auckland to Wellington to visit me. I was stationed in the Police in Lower Hutt at the time.
I have missed Dad every day for the 39 years (almost) since his passing. In truth i have thought about him at some point every day. His sayings and apt comments come to mind constantly in the situations I face every day.
    I miss you Dad.
